Our Verdict:
If you have never been really impressed with all the digital piano models in the market today, the Yamaha YDP-160 Digital Home Piano will blow you away. Play on one with your eyes closed and you're most likely to believe you are playing on a real grand. The intricate sounds it produces with all the variations in intensity and smoothness are closest to the real thing. Added to that is the exact replication of the Graded Hammer Effect - so you don't have to adjust your striking intensities since it mimics the touch of the real grand. All other added features such as the built-in recorder and metronome come in handy, but even without these, you're having a grand unit for quite a fraction of the price of the real one! Amazing buy! |

Customer Feedback-
"I've had this piano for about two months, and I absolutely love it! It's obviously not the same as a real piano, but it comes darn close! It has great sound, and I love being able to adjust the volume or wear headphones so I don't disturb the neighbors. If you don't have the space for a real piano but want a great sound and enjoyable playing experience, you won't be disappointed." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Unlike the Casios, the Yamaha piano is sturdy. Unlike the Casios, the key action is very realistic and the sound generation excellent, with nice and well rounded warmth and color. Yes, it's not a real, mechanical piano, but when you play it feels very natural." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I am a music teacher of 10 years. I wanted a new piano for my lesson studio, but very particular about what I wanted. I needed a nice, full size digital piano with graded hammer action keys and good piano sounds. Needless to say I got exactly that! My advanced students say they've never played on a more realistic feeling piano (even for a digital piano). I got WAY more than what I paid for!" - Actual User Review - Sweetwater.com "I am so very pleased with my purchase of a Yamaha YDP-160 Digital Piano and Bench. I can't believe the sound that emanates from this piano. The touch is unbelievable--like a grand piano." - Actual User Review - Guitarcenter.com |
