About The Product:
Trendy and stylish, the new Casio PX120 Privia Digital Piano offers authentic piano output in a compact and lightweight package that you can fit into lean spaces.  It's body is quite thin and packed in, but doesn't come across as flimsy at all - it's loaded with amazing features that include an 88-key piano keyboard with 128 notes, 60 built-in songs, 11 tones, 20 rhythms plus  Acoustic Resonance, Touch Response and Auto Accompaniment features. Great sound quality comes from stereo-sampled, Tri-element AIF Sound Source which delivers impeccable piano resonance and expression. An acoustic resonance system reproduces the same characteristic effect of a grand piano for realistic piano outputs.  This type of sound source combines high precision stereo sampling of a grand piano with an original filter system that produces naturally modulated sound each time you strike a key.  The tri-element feature enables three different wave forms for each note, depending on the pressure exerted as you play.

The Casio PX120 is quite lightweight and portable at 30 pounds.  It's great to bring one anywhere you need to play!

Casio px120 privia digital piano

The Good Stuff:

Big-time, grand piano feel in a portable and affordable package
Advanced AIF sound source providing 128 note polyphony and 88 weighted scaled hammer action keys
128 note polyphony provides full musical expression where notes reverberate naturally without being cut off
20 piano rhythms including drum sounds which provide you an accompaniment to your playing
MIDI-In/Out interface provides hook-up for electronic musical instruments, additional equipment and computers to simplifies data exchange
Piano Setting keys provide two available settings - "classic" for a soft, discreet sound and "modern" with a more lighter, brighter character
Duet function divides the PX120 into two keyboard areas and allows two people, such as teacher and pupil, to play parallel to each other
The Bad Stuff:

"Modern" setting sounds too metallic
Speaker is a bit low grade, so you have to use an external sound source for more astounding sound quality

Customer Feedback-

"
The keys feel absolutely amazing. If I were to close my eyes I would believe it was an acoustic grand piano."

"These keys are heavy and feel just like a real acoustic piano. The keyboard itself is amazingly slim, but not flimsy or annoyingly small. My only small gripe is the quality of the built-in speakers; something I knew was going to be the biggest drawback of this particular keyboard. When practicing with headphones (or, I assume, some sort of external amplifier), the tones are actually quite good and some of the best I've heard. Unfortunately, the speakers don't seem to do a very good job of conveying this, as the tone (especially around the middle of the keyboard) sounds a bit flat or muddled."

"The Casio Privia PX-120 is a perfect budget digital piano. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about the feel between digital and acoustic pianos and I must say that the PX-120 does an outstanding job replicating the sound and feel of a real grand piano."

"
With today's economy I couldn't afford a baby grand piano or an acoustic piano but the Casio was in my budget range. I was definitely not disappointed by the sound of the Privia PX120. It has a rich sound with a grand piano keyboard touch in a lightweight portable digital piano."
