Our Verdict:
The Privia PX100 digital piano has been discontinued and upgraded to the newer models of PX110 and PX120. So you'll most likely find the last few available unused units in some music stores or if you can find a used one for a good price (and in good condition) this can be a great way to get a digital piano at a budget price. For the two main features you'd probably look at when searching for a good digital piano, the Privia PX 100 matches your expectations when it comes to keyboard action and sound quality. This would be a good model for the beginner or a hobbyist looking for low-priced digitals that emulate the sound of an acoustic type using Sound Source technology. If you want more features, search for the upgraded models, but if you're in simply for sound quality on a budget, the PX-100 can be your best choice. |

Customer Feedback-
"I am obsessed with this keyboard. Why? Because it's the first one that I've seen and played so far that has PERFECT weighting on the keys, beautiful sound, and a GREAT price. The keys are weighted properly, they spring back like they should, and the weight is ranged just right - the lower keys are just the slightest bit heavier than the higher end. This thing is a DREAM to play!" - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "If weighted keys are important to you, this is an excellent step up from a keyboard without weighted keys (especially if you originally learned how to play on a real piano like myself). I live in a small dorm room and this piano tucks neatly into the corner having a width of less than a foot." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Pretty basic but I didn't expect much in the way of bells and whistles. Good metronome feature. I just wanted a good weighted keyboard for my piano practice etc. Speaking of which, the weighting is quite good and better than many real pianos I have played. It is a bit on the heavy side but that is good for training the hands." - Actual User Review - Zzounds.com "I am just starting to learn piano. For me, this piano meets all my requirements for a beginner instrument.88 weighted keys and midi capability. If you live in an apartment and have a tight budget, this is the way to go. I can't comment on the sound quality since this is the first piano I owned, but for me it is good. The overall instrument is well built." - Actual User Review - Pricegrabber.com |
